Hey, y'all. My name is Gringnr. I've been running the "A Private War" campaign by Tim Eccles for almost two years now, using the Zweihander rules. The latest iteration of those rules, Zweihander Reforged, is out. Well, in PDF, anyway. Thought I'd mention it here, as there may be some overlap in interest.
On the whole, Reforged seems to move further away from being a WFRP clone. It's still there, mind you, just not as prominent. And it's less fiddly than Zweihander Revised. Fewer moving parts. Totally back compatible, though.
Zweihander Reforged
Magic system is largely unchanged, though that was different than WFRP 2e in the first place. In Zweihander, it's a percentile roll, basically the universal mechanic of Zweihander. Combat is a bit different as well, because Zweihander uses (and always has) a "damage track" system, rather than Wounds or Hit Points. There is an Action Point economy in Combat, so it's a bit different there, as there is no "Attacks" Attribute. Most characters will only be able to make 1 Attack Action per Combat Round, though there are exceptions. In fact, there are 7 Attributes, and they're all represented by a percentile, so no single digits in the profile.. The Professions and Races feature fewer and less obvious callbacks to WFRP.
