I must be mad.

Others have reskinned Masks for WFRP, but this one is mine.

Here’s the first part, which gives the background. I’ll eventually be posting handouts and GM notes as well, closer to Christmas. Setting is 1st/4th edition erring on 1st. It will be rules agnostic.

Obviously, spoiler warning for anyone who has yet to play the original Masks or whose GM may want to run this for WFRP.

I'm currently playing Masks in a Call of Cthulhu campaign, so I daren't do more than scan what you've shared.

But I really like your choice of locations - much more interesting than translating literally from real world to Warhammer analogues.

Thank you! But don't you dare read any more or I'll have your GM hunting me down to sacrifice to the Ruinous Powers. Also, you'll spoil a lot of great surprises coming your way.

Part 3 of my adaptation of Masks of Nyarlathotep into WFRP's Old World. This time, Nuln/New York!

Part 4 of my adaptation of Mask of Nyarlathotep into WFRP's Old World. This time, Altdorf/London!

A busy work week and a demanding three-month-old baby made this one more difficult to finish on time and to the same degree of detail as the others, but I'll flesh it out further when I write the proper GM notes.

Part 5 of my adaptation of Masks of Nyarlathotep into WFRP's Old World. This time, Marienburg/Cairo!

Another tough week, but I got there!

I'm starting to see some areas that I might change in the final version. For example, compared with Call of Cthulhu I can see how Warhammer Battle the magic is now.

Also, the portrayal of Slaanesh and its demons is starting to seem puerile if not downright problematic in many areas. I've a rainbow of friends who are either LGBTQi, sex workers, or kinky and the fixation on all Slaaneshi creatures wearing stockings and being female-facing is...well...weird.

I'm preferring the idea of Slaanesh being about desire, ambition and excess - not just sexual pleasure - as being considerably more interesting and more Clive Barker, than the teenager wet dreams many of the writers and artists come up with.

And what's with all the claws instead of hands?! You can't pick up anything, let alone put on those weird stockings the daemonettes weirdly love to wear!

Who would have thought having a baby and moving house would be so disruptive? Apparently not this guy! These are my ongoing Bretonnia/Kenya notes for CoC MoN into WFRP.

Mate, this is an epic work, thank you so much, for the inspiration if nothing else...

Thanks! I'm running it in the New Year so I'll be writing up proper GM notes - locations, NPCs, etc - closer to the time. These are just proof of concept notes
