Hello WFRP hive mind.
I need some help with Death on the Reik. Where can I find travel times between the various locations in the scenario? I’m working entirely from pdfs on my old iPad and have probably just missed a handy table. Failing that even distances along the river would let me work out the travel times. Many thanks...

I think there was something on @Gideon's Awesome Lies blog, but i can't find it now. The feedback i've read is that the travel times are a bit of a mess.

Had a rummage on the site recommended and found this old edition companion that includes some distances and travel times. Thanks for the heads up

I was thinking fourth edition specifically for some reason otherwise i would have linked you to the companion straight away. I suggest a read through Gideon's full companion if you're playing The Enemy Within Campaign. So far, although some things have been added, some things omitted, and some minor things changed here and there in the fourth edition's version of the campaign, it is mostly the same as the first edition's version of the campaign.

As the 4th edition Death on the Reik stands, there is, I believe, no way to calculate travelling times. I discuss the issue briefly in my reviews of Death on the Reik and the Death on the Reik Companion:

The simplest solution is to use the timetable of the first edition campaign, as detailed in my unofficial companion:

https://awesomeliesblog.wordpress.com/2 ... mpanion-6/

It is not, however, perfect. For some reason, all the distances were increased in Enemy in Shadows, as discussed in my Enemy in Shadows Gamesmaster's Aids:

If you want to use the same scale as in Enemy in Shadows, you will need to increase all the travelling times, including the Red Crown's, by about 1.75x.

And to make things even more absurd, the Enemy in Shadows Companion suggests ridiculously fast traveling speeds - something like four times the actual reasonable rates (like 112 miles a day on horseback). I have no idea what's going on here.
