Re: Enemy Within Volume Two announced! (And a gamemaster screen's too!)

Now up on Cubicle7's site: https://www.cubicle7games.com/wfrp-death-on-the-reik-the-enemy-within-directors-cut-vol-2/ One thing caught my attention, in addition to the notes already posted by sx dwarf: The Vengeance of the Gravelord: Part 1 of a sequence of adventures that run parallel to the Enemy ...

Sometimes, when a rule requires an exception, I wonder if there's a better way.
Yes. An extremely useful hueristic. Works in many different walks of life, too. Often a sign that something has been patched numerous times.

Re: Welcome!

Hey! Should have posted here before spamming the rest of the boards! WFRP v1 (and wargaming and painting) were among the ways I mispent my youth. I posted a lot on the old Black Industries forums but didn't get much gaming in during that period. I picked my brushes up for the first time in nearly 20...

Re: Enemy Within Volume Two announced! (And a gamemaster screen's too!)

I've seen a few sites claim late August Enemy in Shadows. Obviously, goes without saying, take with a pinch of salt.

Re: Feedback

My only complaint is that the "Post Reply" button is available when posting a reply. It's caught me out a couple of times, before I realised, which prevented a post being submitted.

Summaries are ok, copy-paste is not. Sorry, it’s a bit of extra work but it’ll keep GW’s attorneys away.
I didn't think that was possible. And you've just named them...

Re: Enemy With Shadows Details

I was mocking the description of 'lovely'

I think the authors were fully aware it was not a good lead in but had to write something after The OC mentions TEW. I took it as a bit of lampshading on their part.

Re: Enemy With Shadows Details

Shadows over Bogenhafen suggests following on from The Oldenhaller Contract as "less satisfactory" and doesn't add much of a narrative hook; "Bogenhafen is lovely this time of year." TBH, that'd be quite compelling for the Empire if we didn't sll know lovely meant trans-dimensional portals to hell.

Re: On Strength

Tried to post earlier, seems to have failed. I don't think S is useless, but I agree that it's value is dimished. W as a derived stat from S will always give it some value and there can be any number of tests employed where S is appropriate (like getting into an inn with a stiff door...). I do like ...
