Re: Strong back abd strike to stun
My reading of it leads me to say no. Strong Back applies to Opposed Strength tests which I understand to mean Strength vs Strength, so something like wrestling or tug-of-war or pushing a recalcitrant mule. The Pummel test is Strength vs Endurance which I would understand to be something else. I'm th...

Can't say as I've noticed it, but I think your solution to the situation was the right one.

Re: Resources for adding Steampunk elements?
I believe the suggestion was to look at Main Gauche from the Zweihander system. However, I cannot vouch for that since I have not read it.

Re: Looking for input on greenskin campaign
My own thoughts on greenskins is that it would be quite extraordinary for them to have writing and be literate in a language other than their own. You may be better served to have the villain be Skaven, or even a coven of Dark Elves posing as High/Wood Elves. Partly because if you're trying to strin...

Re: Best adventures
I didn't like Witch's Song, although it's inclusion of some other elements (Dark Elves) instead of cultists, skaven, or greenskins was very refreshing.

Re: Best careers
"Best" is entirely subjective, so it's hard to give you a concrete answer. What are generally considered to be top tier careers (Champion, Wizard Lord, Crime Lord, High Priest, etc) will take so long to accomplish anyways that they're only worthwhile to think about if your campaign is goin...

Re: Mutation and Ableism
Perhaps there is a Church of Sigmar (or Shallaya) ritual (requiring a priest of sufficient ability, a quest in and of itself, then payment, etc) that can determine whether or not a deformity bears the taint of chaos or not. And perhaps that person can be given a certified letter from a priest that s...

You can't go wrong with the Orb of Slope Detection or the Ring of Detect Fire (range: touch).

Re: Elven Vampires
Exactly. Something gone wrong with experimental High Magic, yada yada yada, elven vampire. I like the idea of having to siphon magic. My initial idea had been that the elf in question would lose it's soul into the Aethyr (been reading a lot of 40k lore and also Retribution of Scyrah lore). The elven...

Elven Vampires
Let me preface this: Yes, I am aware that according to strict canon, Warhammer Elves are immune to the Curse of Nagash. With that said.... ....What if it's just called the Curse of Nagash, because Nagash was the first one to try and recreate-at-will and harness what had previously been a part...

I looked over it briefly, and it looks like a great scenario. Can't wait to read it more fully later!

Re: Advice for getting the WFRP tone right for scenarios?
I'm not sure about "Adventures take place in the shadows" While some (possibly even the majority) do, there are some that by necessity are either not in the Shadows or involve major characters supplanting each other and therefore definitionally "not in the shadows".

Re: Beasts in Velvet conversion
I don't know that anybody has, but it would seem to be relatively straightforward. C7 released a conversion guide for past editions, while it works less well for monsters, it does work pretty well for PCs (and NPCs).

Re: The Empire: From Civil Strife to the Storm
In all of the versions of TEW, has any thought ever been given to the impact on other nations? Perhaps with the exposure of the changelings/civil war, other countries might try and exploit the situation such as Tilea or Brettonia or even Ulthuan? Might make for an interesting epilogue, especially si...

Campaign help, setting the mood for Athel Loren/Wild Hunt
I am starting to outline my next campaign part of which will involve The Wild Hunt and Athel Loren in central roles.
Can anybody recommend any inspirational movies/books/shows/etc to help me get a feel for the mood?
Thanks,
Hyarion

Re: Speaking with and summoning the dead
Not really. I would just make up something, probably either a religious or magical ritual.
The 2e book Realms of Sorcery and/or Tome of Salvation can probably provide some good inspiration.

Re: Changing career tier
Building in downtime for Endeavors between chapters is always a good idea. And being in communication about what their character's career goals and when they anticipate making those changes is also a good idea because as a GM, you need to be seeding the hooks ahead of time.
