Re: Cubicle7 Cancels TOR2

In the Den of Tzeentch surely.

I don't know if this bodes well for their other lines or not. I've had the impression that they've become er.... less concerned about quality and more concerned about market share. I'd still be interested to know why the WFRP 4th edition authors left.

Re: Roughs Nights and Hard Days Impressions/Review

I suppose that's what happens after 30 years or so of the same setting. Perhaps the Grand Countess has some flashbacks to when she was at the Opera House once before, long ago, when she was younger and merely a Countess.

Re: Roughs Nights and Hard Days Impressions/Review

Unless it's a new adventure using the same name then 'A Night at the Opera' is not new. It was first published in 'Adventures Unlimited' magazine no.3 in 1995 and as i recall had stats for various RPG systems, including first edition WFRP. It was then republished for second edition WFRP. Interestin...

Re: Roughs Nights and Hard Days Impressions/Review

In fact only "A Day at the Trials" and "A Night at the Opera" are brand new. "Nastassia's Wedding" is a slight reworking of a 1E adventure (originally published in the Pyramid magazine IIRC, a bit of a rarity for a long time) and "Lord of Ubersreik" is the fi...

Re: Realms of Sorcery Now on DriveThruRPG

As i recall it wasn't that well received at the time. I don't think it was particularly good or bad. For the most part it's a bunch of magical careers, lists of spells, and lists of magic items. It's human and Empire centric, though it has a selection of material on other races, including, for examp...

Re: Roughs Nights and Hard Days Impressions/Review

-There are now Guards and Bodyguards that are protecting the Gravin, seems a bit redundant, but yet again the career system is a bit more rigid than before. I expect this is due to the way in which careers and career names in fourth edition are more of a generic (though not totally generic; in rela...

makrellen wrote: Tue Nov 19, 2019 1:59 am As far as I recall there was even a WFB to WFRP conversion table in the rule book for 1st ed.
There was, but as i recall it wasn't very good and mainly served to show how incompatible the two systems were.

Re: Warhammer Old World, a.k.a. WFB returns.

I don't think 9th Age (or Kings Of War, or whatever) will make much of difference to Games Workshop's decision. If the profit is in the miniatures then they will still make profit whichever game people are playing and buying miniatures for. That's not to say that i think that Games Workshop wouldn't...

Re: Warhammer Old World, a.k.a. WFB returns.

From what i can see you're not wrong @Theo. Time will tell. Whatever they are going to be producing it's two or years away according to the Warhammer Community post, and as some have pointed out on another forum it may not actually materialise in the end if there is a chance of management or even if...

I would prefer a low fantasy game, or 'realistic' fantasy, but i wouldn't tagTotal War up as low fantasy.

Re: Warhammer Old World, a.k.a. WFB returns.

Indeed. It very much depends on which version of the Warhammer Fantasy Battle Old World they recreate.

Warhammer Old World, a.k.a. WFB returns.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpnLjwOn5tg&feature=youtu.be https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/11/15/old-world-new-warhammer/ I'm concerned about what this might mean for WFRP products, and for the tone of the Old World in general. I was hoping that WFRP products, whether unofficial or of...

Re: Apocrypha Now

I notice that it's the Flame Publications edition. The Hogshead editions were slightly different, not only because they were combined into two part volumes, but also because some information purtaining to using Warhammer Fantasy Battle (first or second edition i guess) was omitted, and some addition...
