Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)
I would hope that the developers at Cubicle 7 understand the difference between Middenheim, the Duchy of Middenheim, and Middenland (and, for bonus points, Nordland), such as they were, if they still are. This has been mentioned on here since we saw that bit of blurb that it seemed a rather odd cla...

Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)
Preface: A few lines of commentary from Derrick Norton, who edited and heavily reworked the original PBtT, and an equally short tribute to Carl Sargent from Graeme Davis. I’m a little baffled by these entries – not by their being there, but by their being so brief and lightweight (less than half a ...

Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)
Pregenerated characters? Erina Eberhaur and Golthog. Gives the option of ready made characters for PBtT if needed. Apparently the next Archives of Empire will contain ogre rules. Is The Ritual suggested to happen in a specific moment? Is it no longer set in Delbrez, or is it suggested to happen in ...

Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)
I'd been meaning to update this thread with my views on PBtT and the latest round(s) of updates from Cubicle 7 but I've been a bit under the weather. However, the PBtT Companion was released yesterday, so and that worth mentioning. Here are the abridged contents: CHAPTER 1:THE GRAF’S GARDEN PARTY .....

Re: Where are you starting the PCs in the 4e Enemy Within?
So the Empire in Shadows book suggested that the PCs start on the road from Delbren to Altdorf or 'anywhere about two days from Altdorf'. My PCs will likely be starting in Ubersreik which is nowhere near Delbren (not that I exactly know where Delbren is). I assume hand waving the travel until 2 day...

Re: GW Kislev and Cathay for Forgeworld / Total War
I probably should have made that clearer - Eastern themes but Chaos is the big deal. I've read that part of the game will be in the Realm of Chaos, but I'm unsure if this means Chaos Wastes or the Warp. If it's the latter, it probably explains the long wait.

Re: Viydagg Retcon/Return
I'm guessing C.L. Werner was a WFRP player!
The Warhammer Horror line just looks like a branding tool and covers everything from Genevieve to the new AoS horror books like Dark Harvest.

Re: GW Kislev and Cathay for Forgeworld / Total War
We should also get Ogres and Chaos Dwarfs, probably as DLC (although maybe in TW:W2). I think there's a good chance of Nagash making an appearance down the line, too. TW:W1 was the Old World, TW:W2 was the New World (fantasy Americas + meta fantasy Atlantis). However, if you own both, you get Mortal...

Re: Viydagg Retcon/Return
A brief update. I picked up a couple of the new Warhammer Horror line, Dark Harvest and Castle of Blood. The latter contains a Mardagg - I've not read it yet, but the text search tool returns a lot of hits on it. This however does lead to the conclusion it is something of a spoiler device.

Yep. It's in there. I just happened to be doing some tidying and had dragged my 3rd edition stuff out.

Re: Viydagg Retcon/Return
"Brunner Does A Runner!" would have been a better title. Actually, I'd enjoy reading any Black Library series where the hero deals with conflict by legging it. That's a much more WFRP than WFB strategy though. "A Mardagg? Isn't that the thing with a profile that looks like Jeff Bezos...

Re: Viydagg Retcon/Return
That's a nice little find FasterThatJesus. Perhaps it would be worth searching for misspellings and variants using 'jokers' if you can do that in Calibre and haven't already done so. (I take it that this was using the full text search tool integrated into Calibre you mentioned.) There is a Calibre ...

Re: Viydagg Retcon/Return
Right, astonishing success with indexing the material that I do have as PDFs and ebooks, which amounts to some v1 and all v4, my v2 and v3 material is all hardcopies. I've got probably something like a quarter of the novels but nothing released in the last ten years. Out of that, I've probably only ...

Re: The town of Prie
For one split second, the Great Mutator turns his baleful stare at FasterThanJesus... I also used it to described my Forge World Magnus the Red miniature. I have little shame. On a less cringey note, I've got a full text search tool integrated into Calibre, where I've added my WFRP PDFs and ebooks ...

2nd Edition did have a list of prosthetics and I think there was at least an artificial hand in there.
There's also this guy, who has an artificial arm: https://warhammerfantasy.fandom.com/wik ... Damminsson.

Re: The town of Prie
Might be one for dry_erase to confirm, but would any addition to the WFRP v4 Reikland map require GW approval before publication? My only other thought is it could be a town mentioned in a tie-in novel, even in passing. Andy Law may well have collated that sort of thing while working on his Reikland...
