Re: What Enemy Within material to purchase after the Enemy Within Campaign?
I don't think there is anything that is directly related. There's more info on groups like the low kings, other active cults, more geographic information. I think it comes down to whether you want go out of scope of PBtT or build on top of what is there. What I'd say is that you're spending a lot of...

I hadn't noticed that. That's about 1% of my CE preorder saved then!

Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)
"Structurally" it is similar: Assassination->Quest for Hammer->Kill Daemon, save Empire - that is boiling it down to its most basic elements. However, those elements are very different, the assassination phase has a much bigger lead in incorporating the plot hooks from the earlier installm...

Re: What Enemy Within material to purchase after the Enemy Within Campaign?
Middenheim: City of the White Wolf and Altdorf: Crown of the Empire are the two that spring to mind most obviously. CotWW expands Middenheim significantly (which you probably know from its 1st ed incarnation) and is extremely useful as all of PBtT and about 60/70% of THR is based there. The addition...

Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)
I'm a bit behind right now, so I've only skimmed it. The plot is structurally very similar to the original while being a significant reimagining and expansion. The opening act (up to the assassination) incorporates a lot more court intrigue and builds on the politics of sigmarite vs ulrican and the ...

Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)
I read the tag line at the bottom of the companion and thought that Cubicle 7 had mistitled the Companion. Ah, I see how that could happen. They're obviously trying to wink to the first edition book but that could cause some confusion - looking at comments on drivethrurpg for the other books in thi...

Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)
Empire in Ruins has just landed. I have one immediate impression: we now, finally, have a full map of the Empire! Edit: second impressions - there's a lot going on, this is somewhat different to Empire in Flames. This is longer than previous entries at 208 pages. Gideon is back! Ghal Maraz is not qu...

Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)
Another production update has just dropped: https://www.cubicle7games.com/wfrp-production-update-empire-in-ruins-reveal/ What looks interesting to me is that the companion is seemingly taking on the role of providing ending material for the purple hand and red crown. I like the look of all four of t...

Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)
No real updates for a while, but two dev diaries have dropped in quick succession. The first one of these contains NPCs for the player characters from Vermintide. It's kind of neat and I have no problem with extra NPCs, but nothing of importance for the series overall. The second is an interview wit...

Depending on how far through you are, I don't think there is a big deal in putting a bit of a pause in proceedings. Certainly up to the hearing with the Graf, I think it's easy enough to withold leads for a while as characters perform endeavours. It gets trickier after that, but perhaps still doable.

I've contacted them a few times (errata and shipping) and have receivd prompt replies on each occasion. None of these were recent though.

Well, the quote is: "The scale will remain the same as it ever was. We want people to be able to use their old armies if they wish, or to start new ones, or to add new miniatures to old armies – whatever they want."

It definitely needs balancing. Certain talents and mechanics in combination make for overpowered cookie cutter builds and render other mechanics moot (channelling).

Re: Beyond The Enemy Within campaign, upcoming releases
Previous edition (the third one) or previous editions (all of them)? I don't recall the exact phrasing in the interview, but it sounded a bit generic, like "in the past", or "before". However, this is on the roadmap update: "We will be exploring in more depth some of the no...

Re: Beyond The Enemy Within campaign, upcoming releases
It's been rumoured for years now. I think if it was going to appear, we'd have heard something official by now. Although I'm inclined to agree with you, it was referred to in an interview with the Cubicle 7 CEO sometime last year. I think there's little point in pondering it unless we get any offic...

Re: Beyond The Enemy Within campaign, upcoming releases
Decent interview. A few of those items were listed on the website updates. I'm guessing Nuln for the city book and elves (albeit it's probably obvious) for the race book. Kislev for the next part of the old world to look at? No mention of the Gav Thorpe New World adventure so maybe that's not happen...

Re: Wittgenstein coat of arms?
I just had a quick skim over the 1st edition copy and I can't see anything explicitly listed as their coat of arms but this is probably it as it was used by Margritte in one of her missives.
