Re: Major shake-up at Cubicle 7
I doubt we'll see anything beyond TEW re-release before the license expires. When did the licence for WFRP expire and where did you get that? I think it's a little cynicism. Not wholly unjustified TBF. Cubicle 7 appear to be taking forever and have at least some internal issues while the license wi...

Re: Major shake-up at Cubicle 7
Actually apparently there was a tweet a few weeks ago in which they said they expected to have the pdf out sometime in September, and were just working on some extra maps to add to it. So 🤞 I've just seen the latest dev diary (wow, we have two now!) which confirms that. No other interesting informa...

Re: Treasure Generator
It might be fun to make a database of chaos mutations and just keep compiling them from the community. There's a ton of fun mutations distributed through WFRP and WFB (and probably plenty of relevant ones from 40K, too), not to mention all the stuff that players and GMs alike will have thought up.

Re: Major shake-up at Cubicle 7
The claim from the last update was that EiS was due for PDF release next (soon), so we'll wait and see.
GW can't resist a bit of studio meddling, so it's probably true.

Re: Major shake-up at Cubicle 7
Realistically we won't know what happened until the dust settles. Pretty much anything could look worse: Money/pay disputes = Cubicle7 are broke Overworked = Cubicle7 have limited resources Creative differences = they don't know what they're doing Behind the scenes controversies = well let your imag...

Yep. We had a single diary from Andy Law back in July, the one with the info on PBtT and CotWW.totsuzenheni wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 8:54 amYou're referring to the 'bonus material' you get with the special edition?FasterThanJesus wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 8:39 am I'm also wondering if the TEW dev diary will ever appear again, since its solitary showing two months ago.

I wonder if they'll have a Warhammer Wednesday on Twitter today. Nothing posted yet.

Re: Starter Set Advice: Are Trolls Really THAT Scary?
I kind of agree with that. Trolls don't need a bunch of skills and talents to show how hard they hit. They probably need traits for regeneration and causing fear, but not much else. It does look like they intend for a proper bestiary to follow, or more detailed situational bestiaries in forthcoming ...

Re: Major shake-up at Cubicle 7
I don't know, I just found a twitter thread where someone mentioned they saw it on the discord channel. The resignations came from discord IDs. There's really no info; Andy Law isn't being forthcoming when asked.
I wonder if the recent job adverts are related?

See you all in 2026 for 5e then!
3 resignations. The Laws could be passed off as personal reasons. The third has wider implications. No other info I can find though.
Glad I paid for TEW on my credit card.

Re: Ties between Starter Set and Enemy Within
I wouldn't say it's much of a prelude to TEW. There are references to TEW at most, but I don't recall anything that could be considered a spoiler.

Re: Starter Set complete character profile
The download doesn't really explain why they've done it. I think we're all assuming it's so we can see how the base characters in the starter pack could be developed. I'm wondering if these are the playtest characters and they just felt like uploading them after creating some fancy looking PDFs for ...

Re: Mapping Grenzstadt (WIP - feedback wanted)
As a stylistic point, I think the map would be better with the annotations as callouts. It will help make the map clearer and the text more readable as the font you've used clashes a bit with the lines of the map.

Re: Origins of the Gods.
I think it's just to do with the Chaos Gods having a Cosmic Horror angle. The bleak, nihilistic, doesn't much matter what we do as we will eventually succumb to entities far beyond our comprehension. As Lovecraft is cosmic horror (probably the author to really expand the theme and popularise it) any...

Re: The Enemy Within to come...
Gideon's blog really is awesome. He's not quite at WFRP v1/TEW yet in the Real World timeline, but it's currently showing the foundations for everything that will follow.

Re: The Enemy Within to come...
As a consequence of the Warhammer World being nuked from orbit, Cubicle7 have a fairly free hand in picking the timing of the setting. They've effectively gone back to the period of the WFRP v1, which is about 20 years before Storm of Chaos. GW had diverged WFRP and WFB in the interim for commercial...

Re: Post-TEW plans
Allegedly Q3 this year. I've seen some stores claim August, but that's probably placeholder info. I've seen some stores suggesting Q4 for Death on the Reik. 1 quarter per volume does seem reasonable and gives 1 1/4 years for the lot as you say.
However, given Cubicle7's lack of alacrity, who knows?

Re: Post-TEW plans
Well, either way, I'm prepared to see what they do. After Marienburg Sold Down the River is remade, the rest of the campaign will at least be new stuff. Albion, Lustria, Ulthuan, Slann and Elf supplements. If nothing else, it is at least new territory. Also, a whole lot of new things to argue about ...
