Re: Combat example

I understand that it went well for the party, maybe to well. He had already upped the stats of the beastmen and it is surprising that it still was relatively easy to beat them.

I have no 4e experience (due to missing VTT support), so I cannot judge, if this should be expected at 5500 XP.

If the core system it was added to was functional they could have made advantage into a useful system, ...
This may be a wild proposal. Wouldn't that mean that it may be worth trying the 4e advantage system with 1e or 2e? Did someone try such a thing?

Re: Cubicle 7 dropping the Lord of the Rings

I tried to open the Cubicle 7 webpage to read first hand, but I cannot reach it since these news are out. All other pages work fine. Is there so much traffic on their page due to this announcement?

Play DnD?
Has anyone played with D&D rules in the old world? We just started this, because we rely on Fantasy Grounds, where the rules are supported so well. Any good Homebrew suggestions?

So far we added magic fumbles. Any natural one on a spell role is a fumble.

Re: Enemy in Shadows: Thoughts and reactions

Hi, for me the difference is that it is simpler to ignore a given date instead of deducting it from the dates that are given in the handouts. I understand Jareth's point when you take into account an inflexible GM. It's no big thing though. Anyone who wants to know the date that is implicitly define...

Re: The Enemy Within for Christmas.

Regarding their Store locator: I read a comment on the B&M page, that the map does not work properly.

Re: The Enemy Within for Christmas.

I did the same with an FLGS, where I was for a Weekend trip. For them it worked, when I followed up on it with B&M.

Re: The Enemy Within for Christmas.

Those of you, who already have the PDF: did you all order through C7's shop or DrivethroughRPG? Did anyone try to get the PDF through Bits & Mortar? Edit: the reason I ask ist that I would like to support my FLGS. The side benefit would be to save the shipping cost that C7 charges. They are not negl...

Ties between Starter Set and Enemy Within

Hello all, this is my first post here. I have been away from WFRP (1E) and other RPG for about 20 years. My friends and I started playing D&D again about two years ago. With WFRP 4E out we are eager to face the grim and perilous old world once again. I GMed TEW in the past, so I am doomed to do so a...
