Re: Mutation and Ableism
this is assuming that there's some agreement on what counts as a mutation, as opposed to having one village where they beleive crimson locks is a sign of chaos and are all normal, dark-haired folk, then another villiage a few miles down the road where everyone's got red hair and sees children born ...

Re: Mutation and Ableism
I remember re-reading the old Jack Yeovil Warhammer novels and there being a dwarf that works for Detlef's theatre company. That is, a human with dwarfism. I guess people just regard him as a Dwarf with a capital D. Good point, although he spent most of his time hiding under the theatre IIRC. I rec...

Re: Mutation and Ableism
After Storm of Chaos people would be less tolerant for mutations even if it not even conected to Chaos but there are reasons for that. Its a matter of perspective how dark You want Your world to be. Would the average Imperial citizen even be able to recognise the difference between a congenital dis...

Mutation and Ableism
Any ideas for adapting the usual mutant tropes to modern sensibilities, while still adhering to WFB8e Chaos canon? Do NPCs in your game distinguish between congenital disorders (e.g. extra finger, clubfoot) and Chaos mutation? Are 'gifted children' subject to discrimination, and if so, how are they ...

Attached is the Cargo Manifest form for WFRP 2e Companion. I haven't yet seen the 4e vehicle rules, but perhaps this could be modified.

Re: Any chance of a Soulbound subforum?
I'm not keen on 32mm miniatures either, despite the extra level of detail that could be produced at that scale, because they take up so much more room than 28mm miniatures. (This is quite apart from many miniatures that are described as 32mm scale not actually being of a consistant scale, being 'he...

Re: Any chance of a Soulbound subforum?
32 mm scale is annoying. I would play Old World if I could use my old WFB armies, but I'm not going to start over from scratch.

Re: Any chance of a Soulbound subforum?
The destruction of the Fantasy setting doesn't bother me now as much as it did originally, because GW has been very supportive of licensed properties. In fact, I'd wager the success of Total War: Warhammer demonstrated to GW how popular the Fantasy setting really is. People just didn't want to play ...

Very sad news. Halliwell was one of the greats. I loved Dark Future and always thought it could've been adapted to an RPG.

Re: WFRP4's Altdorf vs. WFRP2's Altdorf
The most significant change for SoA would be the locations of the Colleges of Magic, which are no longer scattered around the city but instead grouped together in a single district. Otherwise some of the SoA locations are given even more detail in the Altdorf book.

I doubt that I'll be able to spend $2K+ on an overseas trip this year, and probably won't have the vaccine by August. Remaining hopeful for 2022 though.

Re: The Timeline and after the End Times
Equally if 1 million of the most hardcore Choas marauders, mutants and sorcerers storm out of the Chaos waste into the Empire and 99% get driven off or killed that still leaves 10,000 trapsing around the Forests starting cults and causing trouble. These aren't your average emo Altdorf student dabbl...

Re: The Timeline and after the End Times
Interesting idea advancing the timeline 15 years after the Storm of Chaos. Was the SoC just a failed Chaos incursion or was it the first stage of a long, protracted End Times event? Although the horrific forces of Chaos have been driven back to the Northern Wastes or skulked back to the depths of th...

Re: GW Kislev and Cathay for Forgeworld / Total War
Yeah, although I think that Cathay might draw in more players than the Southern Realms would. Still, a Tilea based on mercenary armies, a Border Princes which could perhaps be a made to essentially thrive in anarchy and disorder? And something for Estalia but I know to little on what to suggest. :(...

Re: GW Kislev and Cathay for Forgeworld / Total War
I probably should have made that clearer - Eastern themes but Chaos is the big deal. I've read that part of the game will be in the Realm of Chaos, but I'm unsure if this means Chaos Wastes or the Warp. If it's the latter, it probably explains the long wait. Yeah, some of the later WFB publications...

Re: GW Kislev and Cathay for Forgeworld / Total War
Total War game 3 will be Chaos-focused, so adding Ungol and Cathayan warriors will provide assets for some of the large Chaos tribes like the Kurgan and Hung. Each of the big 4 Chaos gods will be a separate faction with multiple Legendary Lord options. I'm guessing cross-faction daemons will be allo...

There could be a Dwarf bard known for his spiritual use of Wierdroot, and the famous mining song "Aiyron, Laiyon, Zaiyon".

Re: What and where is Zaiyon?
Anyway, Zaiyon might be a reference to Zion (to the promised land, to say it fast) without being a reference to Zionism, a way much latter ideology (which happened few thousand years after the myth of the promised land). In the DotR handout, Zaiyon is quite clearly a reference to Zionism because it...

Noticing you've made our thread reach the Godwin point (!) I have however to admit that I do not get your point, nor understand how it would be related to the current topic nor to what was previously wrote here... If you prefer I can point to the "Jed'hi" in Warhammer Fantasy, which was a...
