Re: Imperial Calendar
Well, I am German, even from the equivalent of the Reikland. And what is the "real" equivalent of Reikland? Actually I've never thought one might be able to show it on the map of Germany. With the Reik being the Rhine, I see the Rhineland as the equivalent to the Reikland. I would point t...

Re: Imperial Calendar
It might also be interesting and verisimilous ('true simulating') to use a different prefix for Geheimnisnacht instead of 'Vor', such as (note that i don't know German and that i'm using a translator here) 'Bis' or 'Bisvor'. Well, I am German, even from the equivalent of the Reikland. I really like...

Re: Conversion of 2e Paths of the Damned to 4e
The old world podcast had an episode about conversion. They also provided an excel to support it.

Re: Nurgle cults - what defines them?
What about the Tzeentchian cultists in TEW? ... True, but I have to ask if they are of note or if the Purple Hand is based on a lower class basis. Or if just the pawns and grunts comes from such background? Probably the second is true. So in the end such cults may simply reflect the same old hierar...

What about the Tzeentchian cultists in TEW? Those trying to contact the PCs do not seem upper class to me.

Re: Welcome!
Hi. Things seem a bit busier in here of late :) I'd like to know what you make of playing Heart of Glass. I've read through all the Ubersreik Adventures and that was the one I really wasn't sure about. It reads well, but it is very railroaded and feels like it's a big adventure compressed down too ...

Re: Nurgle cults - what defines them?
Just a quick idea: what about hypochondriacs assembling in a cult, because there someone finally takes them seriously?

Mad Men of Gotheim
We just played mad Men of Gotheim last weekend. We had a great time and enjoyed the short adventure. It is good for a one-shot filling a 4 hour session. I listened to wreckless dice' podcast version of it before, which gave me a good overview. The podcast actual play is around 2-3 hours. I did not f...

Re: Comparison with Zweihander
I never read the Zweihänder books. What are the gods called therein? Ulroc, Sagmir? Also, wasn't Zweihänder developed in the time, where there was 3E only? I had the uneducated understanding that it was done, because there was no hope for WFRP to be continued in the spirit of 1E and 2E. That would e...

I fully agree. Why can't they just send their newsletter? Same with Facebook and all those discord channels. We have this perfect forum.FasterThanJesus wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 12:01 pm As an aside, I hate that Cubicle 7 is making me pay attention to Twitter.

Re: Enemy in Shadows: Thoughts and reactions
I finally acquired and started reading the PDF. So far I got to the Weissbrück episode. The whole thing so far is full of promises for the next books, especially the horned rat and empire in ruins. Nothing to substantial, but it raises high expectations. I really hope that C7 will fulfill that. I li...

Re: Ties between Starter Set and Enemy Within
They are not tightly linked. A few Background NPCs appear in more than one adventure. I see them as small fleshed out pieces in the Ubersreik "Sandbox". The single adventure can be railroady, at least heart of glass.
Does anyone have access to the guilty party? I cannot see it on dtrpg yet.

Opening this up, because C7 announced "The Guilty Party". First of all to let everyone in the forum know.
Second: does somebody know, if this particular Ubersreik adventure is going to be available as PDF?

Re: Combat example
I understand that it went well for the party, maybe to well. He had already upped the stats of the beastmen and it is surprising that it still was relatively easy to beat them.
I have no 4e experience (due to missing VTT support), so I cannot judge, if this should be expected at 5500 XP.

I tried to open the Cubicle 7 webpage to read first hand, but I cannot reach it since these news are out. All other pages work fine. Is there so much traffic on their page due to this announcement?

The world's oldest RPG in the old World
Has anyone played with D&D rules in the old world? We just started this, because we rely on Fantasy Grounds, where the rules are supported so well. Any good Homebrew suggestions?
So far we added magic fumbles. Any natural one on a spell role is a fumble.
