Re: Return of the Lichemaster

Fair enough, (Angel)man!

Sounds like something to look for.

Did not know that. (Never read Doomstones properly.)

Re: App Recommendations?

While having a laptop around when playing can be a good thing, I have not felt the need for such an app. Never even occurred to me. Pen and paper and an eraser has worked for us. I can see use for such a thing if and when things get massive, but have not yet run into a situation like that. EDIT: And...

Re: Warhammer novels, and short stories

I’ve been under the impression Gotrek and Felix were more Battle than WFRP. Could well be because I first saw them in an army book.

Return of the Lichemaster

Is it any good, worth tracking down? Does it clash somehow with the 2nd edition setting (as much as that might matter)?

It is the Age of Hysteria.

Tough to stomach it all, but, thankfully, there are good things happening, too.

Oh yeah, Drachenfels was one. I remember the characters from White Dwarf, the story did interest me.

Re: HP Lovecraft

I love Lovecraft’s stories. Sure, the man was racist, but still. I do like Roman Polanski’s films, too. And he is a convicted rapist. And Louis C.K. was good. As was Kevin Spacey.

Warhammer novels, and short stories

Just finishing Zaragoz. I’d say it is okay at best, but not much ”Warhammer” in it. I’ve read some others in the past (C. L. Werner’s Witch Hunter, and Honour of the Grave by Robin D. laws). I think they were about as good (i.e. nothing special), but at least they had more in common with the setting...

Miragliano, The Missing City

I found the following link:

Seems offline, so wanted to ask if one of you beautiful souls might still have what was behind it?

I have that issue. It is good, as with most things featured in Warpstone. Was a sad day they said they stop at 30.

Re: Return of the Gnome

Gnomes were a bit of an afterthought in WFRP1, just a joke article to fill the pages of a WD magazine. Somehow, from there they achieved a sort of iconic status, partly thanks to the figure of Alphonse Hercule de Gascogne in the excellent scenario "With a little help from my friends", but...

Re: Ahalt the Drinker

I'm entertaining the idea of building a kind of The Wicker Man type mini-campaign based on the Ahalt faith. I think it's quite an interesting and rich concept for a personal & local drama set in some rural backwater. Don't know yet if this is what I'll do for the next campaign I design, but I a...

Ahalt the Drinker

I liked it they tried to do something outside the Big Four, but did it ever gain any traction, is there anything other than the entry in Sigmar’s Heirs?

Yeah. Not quite it, though. Which I find somewhat odd. Town crier is Pythonesque enough to, kinda, warrant its own career entry.

Re: The Words of the Law

My players have not gotten far enough to deal with Chaos, I try to keep it as low fantasy as possible (magic users are NPCs, no magic weapons, elves are not around, and so on). Still, I’ve always felt Solkan and Malal are somehow connected. The fanatical and violent attitude towards the ruinous powe...
