Re: Brawling Horde in Making the Rounds
Yes, the GM attacks each PC every round. Each PC is fighting a single member of the brawling horde.

Re: Income & Social Status - Silver/Gold Divide.
Only if you never do any work. The earning endeavor assumes you're spending the money as you earn it. The money you get at the end is a bonus on top of living expenses. So if your character never went off having adventures and just worked for a living, you wouldn't have to worry about it. Yes. It's...

Re: Combat example
Those rpg.net forums are a bit of a joke. I occasionally read threads on there and often left perplexed at how moderated they are. There was a thread about Cubicle 7 dropping The One Ring with one poster asking serious questions about Cubicle 7's ability to deliver. This got the poster banned from t...

Re: The Twin Tailed.
Indeed. It's an interesting idea with legs whether we deem it official or not.
I'm thinking of putting together some post TEW adventures with this as a theme. Perhaps not as a continuation but taking the events on. I'll probably have to pay totsu some royalties.

The 1GC is net, so it is disposable income after necessary living expenses.

Re: Income & Social Status - Silver/Gold Divide.
I'll give you my interpretation. Where it is feasible, a character should spend half of their status per day on cost of living. Typically this is food, drink and lodgings (p302). For example, a noble would be needing to pay for high quality private room at an inn as opposed to the cheap common room ...

Re: Income & Social Status - Silver/Gold Divide.
The information on p52 relates to optional earning, which allows a player to earn the amount specified (assuming a successful earnings test) NET. Cost of living is something that players must keep spending to maintain status. Earning is an optional endeavour to make money. It's an attempt to represe...

Re: Combat example
I'm eager to read your report after the game :) Sure, I'll start a thread, although updates won't be too regular as the group is dispersed over the country so it will likely be a session a month or two. I'll include how I suck as a GM having not done it for years, how the players are getting on and...

Re: Combat example
Fair enough. Perhaps a good rule of thumb would be that if someone or a group wants to discuss the beastiary's problems, they start a thread called "my problems with the beastiary" and discuss it there? That won't shut down critical discussion or individual critics, and in fact if there a...

Re: Enemy In Shadows Companion Available
Where do you give feedback to? The only places I see are through Twitter and Facebook. I don't want to open a Twitter account and I'd rather avoid Facebook as much as possible. I emailed them. I've not had a response yet, but they usually get back to me at some point. I also asked them if they had ...

Re: Enemy In Shadows Companion Available
Something was up with the copy I downloaded on my main PC. I possibly overwrote the original file or something was up on there end. Probably my fault though. They have fixed the issues that I flagged, so at least there is some use to the feedback system. However, some tables are messed with the cell...

In fairness, Karanthir had theft in quotes, suggesting a colloquial use of the term and not a legal definition.

Re: Enemy In Shadows Companion Available
According to the twitter feed, the pregen characters should be available for download but I cannot find anything on the site, or using the drivethrurpg app. However a Companion errata is also now available. It didn't contain corrections of the issues that I raised :( Edit: they appear to be at the b...

Re: Enemy In Shadows Companion Available
The Cubicle 7 Twitter feed has revealed that the pregen characters will be added for download within a few days. After that I will finally write my review.
As an aside, I hate that Cubicle 7 is making me pay attention to Twitter.

Re: The Twin Tailed.
Fair point. They're also common in the real world in religion and mythology. Astronomical phenomona do get people's imaginations running. Howeve,r that also means that for a god, or similarly powerful entity, it's a good way of sending a message. I don't think there's a real link here. However, I'm ...

Re: The Twin Tailed.
Ah, er, yes. The plot thickens. The similarity can be exaggerated or minimised depending on the particulars of how both symbols are drawn, but both symbols are a circle with two 'squiggly lines' emanating away from one half of that circle. I can't remember where i saw it now, but i have seen Tzeentc...
