Re: Enemy Within Rewards for nonhumans.

Original TEW ending reward options were really generous. Simple, but pretty good reward, could be just title (minor nobility, knighthood), little lands somewhere, and huge amount of money. And off course medal for being Champion of the Empire. Yet, anything can happen. Even Protector of Talabecland ...

Re: Does anyone know anything about Bögensee?

Actually there is something in the Enemy in Shadows . Quote from Temple of Bögenauer (patron deity of Bögenhafen) in Bögenhafen: "There is no priest at the temple, but on festival days priests of the Cult of Bögenauer travel from Bögensee (a small town near the source of the River Bögen in the ...

Re: Does anyone know anything about Bögensee?

It was on Andy Laws map back in 2010. Where did he get it? It's possible that it's from some story or background fluff. You know - it could be just mentioned on somewhere. But seems pretty large place considering its very dead-end and remote location. Maybe mining? And if you look real carefully fro...

Re: End Times: Nagash - The 'Bad'

Is the "High Magic" going to be in the "Ugly" topic ? During The End Times the magic starts to become much more powerful. This is partly explained by the destruction of Vortex. But, Vortex is destroyed after the rising of the Wall (Auric Bastion) and the Domes (the Wall of Fate &...

Re: Geheimnisnacht

Well, various Chaos Cult activity is something what comes to mind. It is one those days, when small rifts between become large and large become immense, and daemonic incursion do happen. Summoning is much more easier. As Dhar flows more powerfully, also Necromancers may find this good moment to do t...

Re: End Times: Nagash - the 'Good'

I liked The Return of Nagash. I think the entire plot was pretty good and grim (novel itself was, well good, not great). Story is off course more than the novel - GW sourcebook gives much more details. But, even it was beginning of the end, it was interesting. And it would work as part of history, w...

Re: Contradiction?

I think the basic idea is, that you can change and move between the careers, with few limits. But it also should be logical move and there should be some reason, and make sense in the narrative - as you said. The main idea is important here, not exact words found from the book. - You can always end ...

Re: Contradiction?

Character may change to any Basic Career at anytime (start again). But, if you want to advance to any Advanced Careers, then you need to complete your previous career fully. It would be more logical, that if you start again, it would cost little more, than finishing fully a career. Here is a house r...

Re: Mapping Grenzstadt (WIP - feedback wanted)

Jackdays: What does the "a/b/c" and associated numbers stand for? It makes sense for the garrison to have suffered (and not having been replenished, as the Averland provincial army took the brunt of the invasion), but I don't see anything indicating the the Greenskins ever got to the town...

Re: Mapping Grenzstadt (WIP - feedback wanted)

Back to population numbers. Grenzstadt population on Sigmar's Heirs is: pop: 2520 (Town) wealth: 3 (agriculture, cattle) Garrison/Militia: 20a, 60b, 160c Villages of Buch (pop 92) and Dorfbach (pop 45) close. Now, population number could have been much higher before the Third Black Fire Pass conflic...

Re: The Enemy Within to come...

Arthurian Bretonnia is the official Bretonnia, and that is what we will get. I doubt, that license even allows to change it radically. But, like Capitaneus Fractus did mention, if the writers really want to go deeper and darker, and create little more corrupt Bretonnia, that is also possible with ri...

Re: Mapping Grenzstadt (WIP - feedback wanted)

Is the WFRP3 adventure your playing Black Fire Pass: A Guide to Adventures on the Fringe of the Empire or Journey to Black Fire Pass ? My information is mostly based on those. Sigmar's Heirs (WFRP2) gives Grenzstadt population of 2520. I would say most population numbers are lower than before the wa...

Re: The Enemy Within to come...

WFRP3 TEW is great campaign, but totally different than original TEW . It just uses the same name. This new one, WFRP4 TEW , is pure remake. Updates probably many things there and there (with new fluff, that wasn't there 30 years ago). But, probably keeps the story pretty much the same - until the ...

Re: Post-TEW plans

This sounds interesting. With that type of campaign they can publish new (updated) sourcebook for Marienburg, and beyond that, finally go for something new: Albion and New World -sourcebooks (Lizardmen, Elves, Norse, Dark Elves…) Sourcebooks about various nations and species would still be good some...

Re: Undead (vampires) in Old World

The Crescent Moon sure seems like some Vampire place from True Blood. 8-) But, again it was invented so long ago - it doesn't fit that well in Warhammer fluff. I would rule same what Orin J said before - For public it just seems strange unique place, with weird reputation. But, truth is, that it is ...

Re: New campaign: Oldenhaller contract aka Boardwalk Empire

Haven't done anything similar, but that is interesting idea and gives interesting possibilities to expand. So, basically there would be some sort of prohibition era going on in the Empire. And, Nuln (former capital) is pretty easy going and pretty big city (maybe biggest that time?). Other possibili...

Re: New Careers?

Cubicle focus seems to be in adventures & campaigns currently (this is off course not bad). But, that why I was hoping little more "bigger" core rulebook, with more famous careers. I'm pretty sure there will eventually start become regional and species sourcebooks, which will present t...

Wissenland local Gods: Ahalt (Hunt, Fertility and Sacrifice) Interesting is the Sacrifice part mentioned… Brutal, wild god. Violent hunts (no mercy), wild sex, and commands blood sacrifices. Even not Chaos-God, but maybe "evil" or so "neutral", that feels mercy is for the weak. P...

Re: Riding hell for leather, possible house rules?

Yeah, I read about endurance riders. Hundred miles is a lot of ground, but not super fast. Was thinking of True Grit, Cogburn killing the horse getting the girl to a doctor. Interwebses say a horse can gallop for three miles. Change to canter, and you can go fifteen (with a few short pauses). Durin...
