Re: What and where is Zaiyon?
I was fairly sure it was a pun on Zion (assuming I'd read the script correctly). Yes, the script reads "Zaiyon". However, if we assume it reads "Saigon" (which is unlikely, though) we get another interesting pun. This one would refer to, depending on the perspective, either The ...

Re: What and where is Zaiyon?
Yeah, I was fairly sure it was a pun on Zion (assuming I'd read the script correctly). I was wondering if it had been picked up anywhere else in the canon. I checked the gazetteer in Dwarfs: Stone & Steel and didn't find it. A quick skim of Empire in Flames came up empty too.

What and where is Zaiyon?
So I'm in the middle of replaying DotR and there's this handout: https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CYkf7bojqaI/U5MOvKSuZFI/AAAAAAAACWo/FI7JA9oxf00/s1600/Temple+Note.PNG So the Dwarfs are going to return to Zaiyon(?), but I don't recall ever hearing anything else about this and it's the fourth(?) time I've ...

Re: Best object quests
Isn't 3e's Witch's Song a broken object quest too? No, you might be thinking of The Gathering Storm, which is a fairly classic broken object quest. It might not be that exciting/interesting for an experienced group, but it's a very good intro to the Warhammer world in that it has a variety of enemi...

Belated many thanks to Tad for organising this and to all the players and GMs. It worked wonderfully.

Re: Is Imperial polytheism realistic?
we do not have many examples of real societies that would be as technologically and culturally advanced as the Empire and practice polytheism in some of its major variants, so the question of realism might be invalid from the very start. This is forgetting India, at the very least. There's no direc...

This is what our GM in an online 2e game is going. It works just fine.

I'm happy to run something for the con. I'd probably want to do it "theatre of the mind"-style over video chat.

Re: NergalCon
We'd also have to make allowance for those of us on CET. So 2-6pm and 7-11pm, UK time, would make the most sense, IMO.

Re: NergalCon
TBH, I think if we do do an online version, it should be timed to allow at least some play from the US.

Re: Beyond The Enemy Within campaign, upcoming releases
Not necessarily: Qin was so badly managed that product which had been promised for - literally - years never appeared before they abandoned the licence.

Re: Beyond The Enemy Within campaign, upcoming releases
Thanks for the updates. C7's project management has been piss-poor for years, so I guess the unreliability doesn't surprise me. Still disappointing, though, given the quality of the stuff they do get out the door.

The Berebeli
I first played TEW about 30 years ago, and I've played or ran it more than twice since.
I only yesterday realised that Josef's boat is called "The Beer-Belly".
WFRP: surprising you with awful puns since 1986.
