Re: Warhammer novels, and short stories

I think that's the correct order. I wonder if Mr Yeovil (Kim Newman) could one day be persuaded to write some more Warhammer stories. Probably not in the World-That-Was, as it was destroyed... It has huge possibilities to write more stories before The End Times, but GW probably focuses now all the ...

Re: Riding hell for leather, possible house rules?

Well, if endurance rides could ride like 50 to 100 miles per day, so pretty long (with good horses). I think the speed is important here too. How fast do you push the mount? I'm not anyway expert with horses. Don't know how much they can be pushed. But, maybe penalty to Wounds each hour - 1 automati...

Re: Return of the Lichemaster

I think too, that it was good adventure. Changes over the years: 1) La Maisontaal moved much more north. In The End Times maps it seems to be next to River Grismerie and much more north from Montfort and Axe Bite Pass. But, it is not first time places move in Warhammer Lore. And maybe it is new loca...

Re: Toll/Tax to enter a city

On City of Chaos (Middenheim, WFRP1) it was grown-a-leg. This does sound little harsh, as 2cg could be two months pay for Peasant and even rich farmers months pay. It was for visitors. For example local farmers didn't have to pay. Never did really get, how did they prove, that they were local ? Peas...

Sad news, even we have been waiting for this for a long time…

Thank you for all the years.

And let's continue Warhammer discussions on this forum. Hopefully even more fans finds this.

Re: Offical ogre suppliment?

Andy's document was published in Black Library site during WFRP2. I think it is pretty (semi-)official. It is good document about Ogres. If you really want more about Ogres, then WFB: Ogre sourcebooks… If you can find them somewhere.

Re: Crossing 2E with Zweihander, looking for advise!

There is a lot careers in WFRP2. That is part why they started to become too similar. I would have started probably tryin to "fix" Basic Careers first. Then move forward to next Tier and so on. Many careers are handled just giving re-roll possibility to main skill(s)… I also like ZWEIHÄNDE...

Re: Crossing 2E with Zweihander, looking for advise!

This is really good.

One of the WFRP2 weak points were, that Careers could have used more unique Talents (like in ZWEIHÄNDER). Some start to be too much the same. Also, others are missing some sort of "edge" that defines, that this careers is specialist in some field.

Re: NDM: vampire generation

I think those Vampiric careers are usable in both methods. And you can also use other careers, that might suit. I like Night's Dark Masters and that it gives possibility to make Vampires with more details. I don't know why Vampires are usually given just "some" stats. It's like these gener...

Check out my site - WFRP2 Rules - Codex Greenskins

That might give more ideas, careers to make Greenskins more powerful...etc.

Re: Stunning and Knockout

Thank you all for interesting points. In these types of games it's usually better not to go too realistic - that's part of the fun too, that you can do certain things. Like make that classical karate hit to the neck and knock somebody down 8-) But, games balance is important. I'm still not sure is m...

Re: Stunning and Knockout

It already is. Crits to the head very often cause Stunned or Unconscious conditions. An untrained brawler would make KO by accident (ie a Crit). Seems realistic to me. True, but when do you score Critical? What if you just want to knock someone down, not really hack poor person to pieces. In this s...

Re: Stunning and Knockout

Couldn't you simply give the Pummel quality to fists when trained in Brawling? Yes. That would cover trained hand to hand fighters. Otherwise same rules. But, should the possibility to Stun still be available to everyone? That is partly the idea of this rule, mostly it is to make stunning possible ...

Re: Stunning and Knockout

Feedback: two things make me wonder if this isn't a 2E rule. 1) The Aim action? You can attack using your action and take -20 to the roll to do a called shot. Perhaps that's what you meant? (The 2e Aim was a half action that gave a general +10 bonus. Sure it could be useful to offset the head shot ...

Stunning and Knockout

This idea started originally from Capnzapp topic about Strike to Stun Talent. I didn't like WFRP4 Stun rules, so I decided to add something. I think the possibility to Stun someone should be available to everyone, not just Pummel quality (which are pretty limited in weapons). It's just how easy (or ...

Has there been any mention of Street Fighting Talent anywhere? Found from Racketeer, Level 2. And what bonuses it gives (or should give)?
