Re: Middenheim: City of the White Wolf
Though there is an Andy Law, 2e-era Middenheim map on the wiki. It's also decent resolution. Though the locations may not match up perfectly for new additions, it would work better for VTT.

Re: Middenheim: City of the White Wolf
The roads do look like canals or rivers. Especially with the 'pouring' effect on inclines (i.e., when roads dip down a level).

Re: Middenheim: City of the White Wolf
This may be intentional. There has been a trend towards pushing the population numbers up. Perhaps to have Altdorf at one million or so, when the time comes.FasterThanJesus wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 4:09 pm It's claiming a population of 400,000. I'm thinking that should be 40,000 and an extra 0 has sneaked in.

Re: Middenheim: City of the White Wolf
I think he did it himself? Now that he's no longer with C7, I guess they need a new mapmaker.
The map's okay, I think, but Andy's were much better and more in-keeping with the setting and style of 4e.

Re: Official WFRP module for Foundry VTT released!
I only hope Moo Man is getting properly compensated for his work — not only is he compiling and writing this stuff but, if you look on Discord, he’s a virtual 24 hour helpline. Whereas before he was doing it for the love of it, now C7 are directly benefiting. I hope his commitment and enthusiasm is...

Fair enough. If your players don't mind the whiff, etc, it can be quite comical to fail all the time without recourse.

Re: Eye for an Eye 4E conversion
I think it's relatively easy to convert 3e to 4e. Multiply stats by 10, as a general rule, the nudge them +/-10 or so, as needed. Things like the trackers are essentially either ways to count SLs on an Extended Test, or ways to measure time (but see RNHD for a very easy example of how a timeline can...

Re: Childhood in the Empire
I would drop the Cruel World Talent, as not having metacurrencies a) sucks beyond belief (especially with such lousy stats) and b) makes armour even more essential. If anything, I'd be tempted to give children less Resilience and more Fate.

Re: Reflections on downtime
If the Event doesn't apply, I would always re-roll it or make it so it does apply. E.g., if the PC doesn't have a horse, maybe they let their boss' horse run away, and now they have to track it down? Or maybe they were drunk and left a gate open, so the local farmer's horses ran away, and the PC is ...

Re: Musings on Etiquette
I usually start PCs with 2200 XP, like the pregens in the Starter Set, so they're less sucky at the start. My guess is that, as you can end up with lots of XP now, the devs wanted more things to spend that on, including the Talents whose only function is to remove penalties. However, I prefer to mak...

Re: How to play kid characters
Can you just give them the Small Trait and be done with it? That reduces Wounds, makes bigger (older?) enemies cause Fear or Terror, and puts them on a par with Halflings. Just remove the Trait when they hit adulthood, and hey presto! It's easy enough to handwave, as although Human kids are probably...

Re: Fear vs Terror
I rule that creatures with Fear or Terror are immune to those traits up to their own rating. E.g., if you cause Terror 1, you can ignore all Fear but would still have to deal with Terror 2. If you cause Fear 3, you'd ignore Fear 1-3, but not Fear 4, etc. I would probably deduct the difference for th...
