Re: Enemy With Shadows Details

My point was that this link was both present in The Oldenhaller Contract (within the rulebook) and in Shadows over Bögenhafen (within The Enemy Within book). Hence, there was two suggestions to play The Enemy Within after The Oldenhaller Contract. As you write, there was however no narrative links b...

Re: Enemy With Shadows Details

1. The Oldenhaller Contract has to my knowledge never been part of The Enemy Within campaign. The original GW printing ending the adventure with a suggestion to follow it up with The Enemy Within, but that was just an invitation to buy GW's products, not an implication that they were part of the sa...

Imperial Calendar

Hi, My feeling on the Warhammer calendar, as it was designed for the Enemy Within campaign and kept for latter publications, is that it quite unrealistic that an educated people would have such a baroque calendar to measure time in a world where years stand for exactly four seasons of one hundred da...

Re: Enemy With Shadows Details

Cover illustrations tend to follow distinct necessities than illustrations within books. However, I find that WFRP1's within illustrations are, globally, without common measure, far superior than most of WFRP2's, WFRP3's and what we've seen from WFRP4's within illustrations. Albeit some of them, lik...

Re: Enemy With Shadows Details

My rulebook is the French one, by Descartes éditeur. As far as I know, the sole edition of the rulebook was directly translated from the rulebook edited by Games Workshop. If I'm recalling correctly, Shadow over Bögenhafen is even noted "to be translated" or "to be published"...

Re: Enemy With Shadows Details

Only in the sense that Wallis made a reference to it in Carrion up the Reik. Before that, there was no suggestion of any connection except, of course, that many groups might have played The Oldenhaller Contract first since it was the starter adventure (I think there may be a mention or two of that ...

Re: WFRP 4 analysis

I don't have WFRP4 (I wait the French translation) so I didn't had the opportunity to read its rules, but I presume that the point raised by CapnZapp on pure randomness of opposed tests could be solved with dividing opposed tests between: Opposed tests Used when two opponents directly oppose with th...

Re: The Enemy Within to come...

This was the Gazetteer: http://maitre.du.monde.free.fr/Jdr/Warhammer/Empire/Repertoire.htm Alas, there was some "original work" (I did use the territory generator in WFRP1 rulebook to populate empty spaces as there was hardly any really precise map, official or fan made, for all part of th...

Re: The Enemy Within to come...

That map looks amazing. What is it, 5 miles to a hex? It is the exact same scale as the one from Shadow Over Bögenhafen and Death on the Reik. I don't have those books under my hand, so I can't check, but you might perhaps. If I'm remembering correctly, I did it, in order to represent all travels i...

The Enemy Within to come...

Hi, I am a former "erudite" and player of the Warhammer world (Fantasy Battle from the 4th edition to the 6th one and Fantasy Roleplay to the 1st and 2nd edition) who've stopped his interest approximatively ten years ago, hence forgot quasi all of this knowledge. Nostalgia lead me to seek ...
