Re: Any chance of a Soulbound subforum?

Perhaps:

Toto, I've a feeling we're not in the Old World anymore.

Or, more simply:

We're not in the Old World anymore.

Any chance of a Soulbound subforum?

While the (Warhammer Age of Sigmar) Soulbound roleplaying game is not WFRP, they are both on the same family tree and there is likely to be some overlapping interest. Is there any chance of a Soulbound forum? I ask because I have some questions regarding Soulbound lore and rules, and I'd like a good...

They all have 2,200 XP. It's on the character sheets.

Re: Rules - Shield use

Learn Melee (Parry). It's better in the long run. But yes, you get Defensive even if you use your hand weapon. Though, the APs from a shield are not to be sniffed at. Crit negation is literally life or death in this system. (But yes, you need to defend with the shield to get them.) If you can just ...

Re: Rules - Shield use

The fact that the off-hand penalty more-or-less eliminates the benefit of the Shield APs seems really messed up, but for non-bucklers, it at least allows a parry of missile attacks. For most other situations, I'd suggest just parrying with the hand weapon and enjoying the +1 SL the shield gives.

Re: Archives of the Empire: Free Territory of Frugelhorn

So, is it basically just a tiny Warhammer-ized Switzerland with a blend of Imperials, Bretonnians, and Karak Dwarfs?

When does Halflings' Resistance (Chaos) talent apply?

Like the subject line says, when does the Resistance (Chaos) talent possessed by Halflings apply? Mutations, disease, and magic each have their own entry as examples under Resistance--and then there's the redundancy in the names of the Dwarfs' Magic Resistance and Resistance (Magic), which function ...

Archives of the Empire: Free Territory of Frugelhorn

I'm finally getting around to reading Archives of the Empire in detail, and here I discovered the Free Territory of Frugelhorn. The limited information in AotE is the only thing I recall ever reading about this Imperial/Bretonnian/Karak A. "neutral zone." Is it detailed any further in othe...

Re: Reloading

I don't see shooting once every 2-3 turns as particularly powerful, especially as you have to reload in between and, at our table, combats rarely last beyond 2 rounds anyway. But again, YMMV. In such cases, a second weapon might be the idea solution. Note that it isn't uncommon for it to take 2-3 r...

Re: Entering a Class, Does It Stick?

That would also suggest that the former Warrior, now Rogue in my example above would only be eligible for Rogue downtime options (until buying back into the Warrior Career, when he would no longer be eligible for Rogue downtime options).

Entering a Class, Does It Stick?

If I pay the 100 XP to "enter the class" of a new Career I'm about to buy into, do I stay in this class until I buy into another Class? Example: I have a Braggart (Protagonist 1) of the Warrior Class. I wish to buy into Thug (Racketeer 1) of the Rogue Class. Beyond the 100 XP or 200 XP for...

Re: Reloading

Ranged is already pretty strong in 4e. Using a gun or crossbow gives a hard-hitting option that is not subject to defense unless the opponent has a shield, so I wouldn't want to see an option that allows reload & fire on the same turn. But that's just my view. Do as you will.

I do not believe that the test is free. It takes time and effort to reload guns and crossbows in Warhammer.

Re: Is there any more information on the Duke/Duchy of Telland?

i have no idea but duchy is a bretonnian trope, so i'd say to look in that area instead of the empire. ubersriek is on the border so it would be reasonable for eastern bretonnians to have a few investments over there. In the 4e materials, at least, these titles and fiefdoms exist in the Empire too....

Is there any more information on the Duke/Duchy of Telland?

The Starter Set tells us that the Emperor's Rest Hostel in Ubersreik is owned by "the fabulously wealthy Duke of Telland" but that's the only mention of Telland that I can find. Does anyone know more about this Duke or the Duchy he rules (assuming he's a landed noble, but my hunch is that ...
