Re: Enemy In Shadows Companion Available
As far as I can tell, none of the official WFRP or WFB publications (not counting Boxtree or Black Library) have ever listed a date of death for Karl-Franz's father. Boxtree, which is an official publisher, but a novel one, not a roleplay nor battle one, did, p. vij of its Warhammer novels and anth...

Elector situation in 2512 and other fluff there is pretty interesting considering situation in circa 252X. Very exited to see how story goes, when they get to the final parts of the TEW. I still think the civil-war is happening... And why is Prince Luitpold banished away? Wolfgang is named heir… As...

Re: Mainstream Media Inspirations
Yes that is for sure. I wouldn't neither take it this captationem benevolentiæ too literally..., and you are right to emphasis on the point you underline, but I fell this extract is a good and strong credible inspiration on what could be Law Gods cultists' mindset in the Warhammer world (and the quo...

LE GOFF, La civilisation de l'Occident médiéval.
This presentation of the Roman Empire, at the 1st century of our era, by the famous French medievalist historian Jacques Le Goff, appears to me to be the perfect historical example of what would be, in the Warhammer World, a society that follows precepts of the Law gods: Placée par Romulus sous le s...

There also was a very small eleven pages scenario and context unofficial supplement set in Ind in the French roleplaying games magazine Casus Belli #33-35 (of the second numbering).

Re: Origins of the Gods.
That "fan" was Bryan Ansell and Rick Priestley, actually. Not really a "fan", nor two "fans" I would say. To answer to your thought, well, that isn't the case: all gods are not Chaos gods in disguise ! All gods come from realms of Chaos (more simply knows as warp), tha...

Re: Origins of the Gods.
That's 40k, and AoS. this was never established in fantasy products, which establishes fairly thoroughly that divine magic is unrelated to the realm of chaos. I do not know AOS. I've never opened an AOS book nor read a line of it: I stopped following Warhammer Fantasy and other GW products around A...

Re: The Enemy Within to come...
but I think if/when Bretonnia comes up it will be the WFB version rather than the 1st edition WFRP version. If I'm recalling correctly, the version of WFRP1 is also the WFB version... the WFB3's up to Warhammer Armies . The version of Warhammer Armies , then, became WFRP2's... But WFB6 (or was it W...

Re: Origins of the Gods.
The influence of Lovecraft and of Call of Cthulhu over Warhammer is undeniable but it influenced Warhammer's mood and occult horror investigations roleplay scenarii. This influence isn't significant on the nature of Chaos Gods... Mythos's gods are asleep space creatures hidden in the beneath of Eart...

Re: Origins of the Gods.
things are a little more complex for the non-human races. the elven gods are essentially all representations of aspects of the elven psyche (yes, even the elves' gods exist to reflect how great the elves see themselves). I admit that I have a bit forgot how it worked, since I leaved Warhammer books...

Re: Post-TEW plans
I tend to disagree : after TEW, Warhammer heroes social status perfectly fit for political, diplomatic or military intrigues... EIF suggest to have such kind of adventures to follow TEW campaign, by the way and use the example of The Power Behind the Throne as something adapted to warhammer heroes' ...

Re: Enemy Within Volume Three announced!
Wait... Where did Cubicle announced a post-TEW campaign? I did miss that... (My blurry memories of Gavin Thorpe, from my Fantasy Battle era's adolescence, come with a quite... infamous taste. I no longer remember why, but I seem to remember that he was quite despised by French Warhammer grognards . ...

Re: Enemy Within Volume Three announced!
You are perfectly right, although I feel the unity of place might be preserved if the place is the Sea of Claws (and a bit of the Sea of Chaos) -so parts of the adventure in Bretonnia are mainly set into Lyonnesse, Languille and Couronne- and the unity of action can be to if -and it is the case in t...

Re: Enemy Within Volume Three announced!
There was an official campaign, set just after The Enemy Within (in 2515 IC), announced in three parts (among whom, only the first one was published by Descartes Éditeur, the historical French publisher of WFRP1 who held rights from Games Workshop not only to translate Games Workshop, then Flame, th...

Re: Imperial Calendar
In The Enemy Within and in some other publications, it is said that at Hexenstag and Geheimnistag, the first day of each semester of the year, Mórrslieb always appears full. In Shadows over Bögenhafen , it is said that Mórrslieb appears to be close to be full (and eventually happen to be full), whic...

Re: Imperial Calendar
Thank you for this suggestion. Is Mórrslieb erratic enough to be able to be new moon one day, full moon th day after and half moon the day that follow? Can it go reverse? Before you shared your contribution, I thought about this system of weights: 1. roll 1d10 for each semester to get the number of ...
