Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)
Whilst we are on the subject of Power Behind the Throne what does the Weapon Quality Peak Leveller for the Middenland Runefang within Boris Todbringers trappings do? For the life of me I can't find the rules for the Runefangs in any 4th edition book (I know porting the Runefang rules over from 1st ...

Re: Shrines of Sigmar
I've finished reading Shrines of Sigmar. Not sure if this needs spoilers or not but just in case.... First, brass tacks. I thought this was excellent as a short source book. The Shrines are different and unusual enough that they would be worth including merely to add flavour to a location if nothin...

Re: Shrines of Sigmar
I've been advised that your best bet is to email info@cubicle7games.com with the errata details. Thanks!

Re: Shrines of Sigmar
Just picked this up and found it a very interesting read. Is there any way of submitting errata for it? I found a couple of (very, very) minor errors, but I can't find it on the list of publications in the errata submission form. I'm glad you found it interesting! No idea about errata, but I can ask.

Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)
It's more of an issue when you're dealing with the powerful NPCs famous from the wargame, I think. Of course, in the wargame, these powerful NPCs are more or less player characters - you're controlling them as a player if you have them in your army. I'd agree - it's a challenge to take someone like...

Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)
My only gripe is the idea – obviously tempting thought it was – to make Nastassia and Brünhilde each other’s nemesis/archenemy. It’s another instance of the bad Warhammer habit of making everything about the cool NPCs. That was my doing. I wanted to give Nastassia a flaw, because otherwise she's at...

Re: Viydagg Retcon/Return
A brief update. I picked up a couple of the new Warhammer Horror line, Dark Harvest and Castle of Blood. The latter contains a Mardagg - I've not read it yet, but the text search tool returns a lot of hits on it. This however does lead to the conclusion it is something of a spoiler device. Two appe...

GW Kislev and Cathay for Forgeworld / Total War
It looks like some of the Forgeworld official Kislev work will see the light in the forthcoming Total War: Warhammer 3. Possibly more interesting is the first GW-approved material on Cathay appearing in the same place: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/02/03/watch-kislev-battle-a-bloodthirste...

Re: Archives of the Empire: Free Territory of Frugelhorn
Isn’t that from Terror of the Lichemaster? It got a WFRP repackaging in the Flame days, I think, too. Yes - I wrote a reply to this yesterday, but it seems to have been gobbled up by the internet. It's where the events of 'Lichemaster' occur, the 1st edition adventure published in 1989. That was ba...

Re: Viydagg Retcon/Return
"Brunner Does A Runner!" would have been a better title. Actually, I'd enjoy reading any Black Library series where the hero deals with conflict by legging it. It's 40k rather than Warhammer, but are you aware of Ciaphas Cain? That's his go-to plan (not that it ever works). I wasn't aware of him - ...

Re: Is there any more information on the Duke/Duchy of Telland?
In the 4e materials, at least, these titles and fiefdoms exist in the Empire too. Ubersreik is a duchy, so too is Black Rock and others within the Starter Set. While most of these seem to have rulers with the title of Graf, we also see Duke Brynich and Duchess Eleanor of House Aschaffenberg (along ...

That's a much more WFRP than WFB strategy though. "A Mardagg? Isn't that the thing with a profile that looks like Jeff Bezos' bank account?...

Actually, I'd enjoy reading any Black Library series where the hero deals with conflict by legging it. In my RRP play My PC is actually fond of that strategy when things go to hot :P It's a sound strategy! I play a lot of Call of Cthulhu and my PC wouldn't have got where he is today without running...

Shrines of Sigmar
A little more embarassing promotion... today C7 published my second thing for them, "Shrines of Sigmar". It a set of 5 shrines which all conceal some sort of secret - the same premise as my "Monuments of the Reikland" but with more: prayers that go horribly wrong stylites miraculous fingernails ...a...

Re: Viydagg Retcon/Return
Out of that, I've probably only read a half, but this is a gem from Brunner the Bounty Hunter. However, this is all I found. Is this what you were thinking of, dry_erase? That's the one. There are a few little callbacks like that in the Black Library novels and I think the older, slightly odder, el...

Re: The town of Prie
Might be one for dry_erase to confirm, but would any addition to the WFRP v4 Reikland map require GW approval before publication? I'm not close enough to the process to know for sure, but my understanding is that all art (including maps) needs GW approval. mapnum opus. For one split second, the Gre...

Re: The town of Prie
I'm fairly sure that many of the settlements on Andy's map are his own invention, to fill out the space and provide inspiration for GMs who want new or 'fresh' settings for their games. The Empire feels much bigger with these additions, which I think is a good thing... there's more room for new back...

Re: Viydagg Retcon/Return
I remember the Viydagg from 1st edition as a demon of the one of the law gods (Arianka?) but am unaware of anything since. However, it has been referenced in Archives of the Empire in the Laurelorn section: ...Powerful spirits can be encountered near this sacred site, including Viydagg, the primeva...
