I second Zekiel there. Both of those books are fantastically useful for running TEW. Without going into spoilers, the Middenheim book is pretty much a must have for Power Behind the Throne.
Once you have those, and your gaming budget allows, pick up Up in Arms and Winds of Magic. Neither really tie ...

Yeah, I see your point. But, as a GM, I read it as anytime there is a standalone "0" result it is read as a "10". Just don't make a fuss and argue with your GM. At the end of the day it's their call, and if they're running WFRP instead of 5e, they've got to be pretty cool.

Per the core rule book (page 6), that would be a 10. Yes, Damaging and Impact weapons are scary.
EDIT: Sorry if I sounded like a pedant just then. I'm used to dealing with rules lawyers that need to see rule in the book before they see logic or reason....

Yes, if the spell goes off, you eat it. But that doesn't mean you are defenseless. Touch based spells not only require the caster to touch you, but put themselves within convenient stabbing range. I was in contact with them about two weeks ago regarding getting a replacement for a damaged book. I received a response, from a live person - not a mailbox, within about 2 business days. I was contacted by Cian (cianw@cubicle7games.com) and he was very helpful.
