Re: Perilous Sands, an Araby sourcebook for WFRP (2nd)

A small update, as there was a number of non-translated french parts. Also changed one or two weird translations. Added a google drive link, too.

Re: Perilous Sands, an Araby sourcebook for WFRP (2nd)

Thank you !

I know the existence of Le Grimoire's articles but didn't use them. I chose to take only official sources, then integrated some other things when it was possible, but essentially from people who worked on the universe : articles in french White Dwarves, a bit of Realm of Divine Magic...

Re: Perilous Sands, an Araby sourcebook for WFRP (2nd)

Hi, That was always the case ! I merely copied the WFRP2 french edition, don't know how it was in the english one. My only problem is when a picture border extend on the neighbouring page, but this is due to the lay-out on InDesign and the extension to the bleed, which I used because I want to one d...

Re: Perilous Sands, an Araby sourcebook for WFRP (2nd)

Hi, I uploaded a small update for Perilous Sands. Nothing to important, some corrections and one or two parts which were still in french. I also opened a blog, which will probably not be massive, but allow me to discuss things I won't have room for in the pdf, and perhaps share new things in the fol...

Re: Beow: God of Barley, Moonshine and Madness

I won't say anything about the rules as I don't know the 4th edition, but I think the fluff is great. Reminds me of many things, from Children of the Corn to Europe's pagan myths, and I love the nod to Ufo lovers, too. I absolutely love the interwined lore with Taal and Rhya. Won''t be able to make ...

A Sudron even, as her design is nearly identical to a Southlands dweller from the Blood on the Reik book.

Re: Perilous Sands, an Araby sourcebook for WFRP (2nd)

Many Thanks ! I have another "regional" thing in the work, but it will take time, as I'm actually pretty slow and I have too many things to do in the same time. :? I also have ideas for a addendum to Perilous Sands, focused on arabyan groups and organizations, like Shades for the Empire.

Hi,

I uploaded a 1.125 version. Some parts were still in french, so I corrected that. There is probably a ton of other missing things, but eyh.

Re: Perilous Sands, an Arabyan sourcebook for WFRP2

Hi,

Slight updates, mainly correctly replacing graphical elements, and translated a lost french paragraph in the middle. I also added a Google drive link, if people have difficulties to make Mega working.

Re: Perilous Sands, an Arabyan sourcebook for WFRP2

Well, that's strange. Just tested one more time, the file is downloadable, connected to an account to MEGA or not.
What you describe is the loading page, but it is supposed to show the file in some seconds.

Re: Perilous Sands, an Arabyan sourcebook for WFRP2

Hi !

Dreadaxe and Jack Days, both here, are those who pushed me to persevere, for the french and for english version. Thank you both !

Also, I made references to Kalevala Hammer for the part on cigars and other things. Hope it's not a problem !

Perilous Sands, an Araby sourcebook for WFRP (2nd)

Hi, I worked for some years on an unofficial sourcebook for Araby, intending to use much of the official sources and none of the unofficial. I finally integrated some things, but tried to avoid anything from other unofficial works for Battle or WFRP and do my own thing, building upon games, many boo...

Re: Is Imperial polytheism realistic?

That can be paralleled with the begginings of modern Hebraic faith, wich was not monotheistic before the V° century BC. The exil to Babylon was a political catalyst for a rejection of everything that was not Yawhe, After that, the cult made great efforts to erase polytheistic elements and to publicl...

Re: Is Imperial polytheism realistic?

There is actually no problem with religions corresponding to geographical borders, though contacts will have influences on both sides. Religion is tied to culture, not nationality, and nations evolve from cultural groups. The Mesopotamian world was very diverse, and every city has its own pantheon, ...

Re: WFRP Social Justice & Representation

Hi, As I explained to Herr Arnulfe in private, and tried to do here, to study History you need to study causes, consequences, and everything. Not just say it was "EVIL". Context. Ideology. Success or not. At what cost. For who. Efficiency, in a precise context Public reaction. Impact on so...

Re: WFRP Social Justice & Representation

Wow, there is some misunderstanding here. I NEVER made fascism apologia (nor for any other form of government, by the way), I NEVER said I would speak about fascism in that sourcebook, I NEVER spoke about a successful Mussolini utopia. I think I will stop writing in this thread, sorry to have interr...
