Re: Great Blog - Warhammer 3ed Opposed Checks
I think that was part of it. The five fellowship barber-surgeon (the charming Kislevite rapscallion) was saving hard for the six...

Re: Great Blog - Warhammer 3ed Opposed Checks
Ok, we're three sessions in and the three characteristic dice vs two challenge dice is proving pretty difficult, as is. They pass more often than fail, but still a single double swords can be enough to shut them down. These characters aren't as buffed in one stat, as well, so my experience may have ...

Talents - What I learned from novels, comics, and movies
This is a response to the idea of letting characters socket an unlimited number of talents to a character and why I think that's not the best way to go. I'm also going to explore the idea of using the talents as obvious story telling devices when using the narrative dice and the not so obvious benef...

Table Top Simulator - Dice and Tray
Not sure if anyone here plays on Table Top Simulator but I made a Skaven Dice tray, with VFX and some stone looking dice.
Cheers!

How Do You Play It - Perplexed and Overwhelmed
We played this week for the first time in years. One of the players is a Grey Wizard and cast Bewilder from the shadows on the "door man" guarding the way to a pleasure boat. It inflicts Perplexed which adds a purple to mental tasks. Afterwards the Smuggler walked up and played Fake Out to...

Re: Great Blog - Warhammer 3ed Opposed Checks
Well, we played last night. I'll post about musings in a separate post, but I'm inclined to agree with you, Karanthir. Last night there was nothing more difficult than average checks and a number of easy ones. The double challenges came up enough to shut down several easy tasks or have the players p...

Re: Great Blog - Warhammer 3ed Opposed Checks
With the five fellowship, one expertise die, and Winning Smile one purple equaled a high 90% success rate on a basic purple. Anyone with a four willpower or less was at least likely to listen favourably. I don't think I'll add the plus one purple he recommends as I use disposition modifiers and *do*...

Great Blog - Warhammer 3ed Opposed Checks
I found this blog the other day. Might be old news for some but the author suggests some alternates to the opposed checks in 3ed. The way the rules handled these has always felt flawed to me. One of my players created a five fellowship Barber-Surgeon. Unless I throw someone with a five willpower at ...

Coming back to 3ed. What I've missed....
I've taken a few years off from our campaign to play and run some D&D and Action Movie World (primarily). Looking to pick up the story again and get back to the system. Things I've missed from Third Edition: The non-binary dice results. I keep trying to find ways to bring the "succeed but s...

Fantastic work, here. I'm looking to pick up a campaign from a couple of years and these are awesome.
