Re: WFRP Social Justice & Representation

I think it does more with being able to argumentively beat fascism rather than using violence. I agree with Le Passant's thoughts about being an debatable subject; we must be able to discuss the matter is to be resolved. Using violence just drags things on with the intellectual equivalence of sticki...

Re: WFRP Social Justice & Representation

I haven't followed Vampire, but it sounds like they really struggled with trying to portray "shades of grey" as pertains to fascism. Really, that's not a political issue anyway , it's an issue of basic human decency vs. oppression. There has never been an example of "good fascism" so attempts to po...

Re: WFRP Social Justice & Representation

Honestly it can die in hellfire. I want my RPG games to be free of real world politics do what you want at your table but for publishers that want my money keep it fictional. If you want your game product to be some passive aggressive messaging and preaching I'll just pass your product up. I play t...

Looking for a player

L4P: Looking for a player to join our current game, The Game itself is on mIRC but we are thinking of moving it on discord; for now we're still on IRC. The Game is on Sundays, starting 8PM EST going on until 11:30 PM. We curecntly have 4 players, but one has a rather hecktic work schedule, so he is ...

Re: Warhammer Old World, a.k.a. WFB returns.

"One of the coolest aspects of returning to the world-that-was is the opportunity to revisit certain aspects of its classic lore and delve into them in greater detail than ever before." Coming from the immature gang of GW's employees who perpetrates their abuses on a tabletop game now designed to p...

Re: Roadwardens and pistols

Which stacking qualities of ammo and gun are you referring to? Ah, not stacking per se, but ammunition have qualities in 4th ed, compared to 2nd and 1st which the weapon had qualities, and the ammo was just ammo. Ammunition quality are more qualities and special rules you got to keep in mind when y...

Re: Combat example

The talents...just those are enough to go insane.. In 2nd those were extras: you can hear better than most, reload faster, maybe know how to twist a blade when it strikes for extra penetration or get a flat bonus when using a certain skill....Worse case you can do somethign special with them in comb...

Re: Roadwardens and pistols

Well, both wardens respond directly to the Emperor, so as such they get good gear. They have a rather important and dangerous job to do, a pistol is technically more powerful than a 'mere' crossbow. Also say what you will, but a crossbow bolt is hard hitting but still is a bolt; a bullet kicks even ...

Part 5 The Lords of Ubersreik -Hey a masquarade! Last time I ran one, it costed the Church of Sigmar a couple of thousands of Crowns as the Pcs had to look good at the Countess' party in Nuln, good times. -Lots of schemes and intrugue in this one as well -The Grey Wizard mingling magic during the ev...

Part 4 Nastassia's Wedding. -A Stand-alone with possible connection to the other 3 previous scenarios, no Tzeentch cameo sadly.. -Thugs are there for reason of exotism? well, Tagees, which is really the same thing, but since they no longer exists in the real world, meh. -Still, I love the Wraith bei...

Re: Dogs of War: WFRP Weapons vs WFB Weapons

Yeah, good call..else it's gonna be 3-4 PCs agaisnt a regiment of Marauders, since everyone ran away... ''Retreat? But we're PCs!'' And Flanking negates rank bonus IIRC as well, so just charging head first may not be always the best move...got to suck up some melee before having the friendly regimen...

Re: Dogs of War: WFRP Weapons vs WFB Weapons

I'll have to recheck the duelligng rules form last edition, but it sounds good. Would combat resolution be affected by the PCs' round of 'Duel' in anyway? Doesn't t gives a bonus to Ld or something?

Re: Roughs Nights and Hard Days Impressions/Review

From the foreword of the book, only the Three Feathers is an old scenario, I beleive the others are new and added as a continuation of the Three Feathers. In fact only "A Day at the Trials" and "A Night at the Opera" are brand new. "Nastassia's Wedding" is a slight reworking of a 1E adventure (orig...

Re: Roughs Nights and Hard Days Impressions/Review

-There are now Guards and Bodyguards that are protecting the Gravin, seems a bit redundant, but yet again the career system is a bit more rigid than before. I expect this is due to the way in which careers and career names in fourth edition are more of a generic (though not totally generic; in rela...

Re: Dogs of War: WFRP Weapons vs WFB Weapons

You can always run it full WHFRP, have the movmenet of the untis and battlefield be like WFB, but when regiments clash, switch to WHFRP battle? Regiments strenght are still a thing, but when you get down and dirty to it, each models have 12 wounds average, just that a single turn of WFB might be wor...

Re: unbalanced races

Indeed it might be the players...yet again, if your player took an Elf to be able to be Legolas, 'only natural he's a bdass with a bow....yet again when having to ask for info in town, his Wood Elf-ness might cause him trouble with the humans, having no skill, no relation, no understanding of them. ...
