Re: Resistance Chaos

Yeah, agree with Orin. If they didn't mean any, they should have been more specific.

Re: Slayers

Are you after anything specific? In general (can't remember off the top of my head how much detail the WFRP v4 source book goes into) the oath taken as a form of (never ending, except in death) redemption for a serious breech of honour that would bring shame upon a clan or hold. After this is taken,...

Re: More info on the future of WFRP 4e (plus the Old World RPG)

Interesting stuff. I haven't watched the video yet but did skim through your overview. The Old World explanation is reasonable, and I suppose if they make the systems interchangeable, it could be a good thing. I knew about the Elf and Dwarf books, but didn't know it was going to be two each, which c...

Re: Recommended starting area

I agree with Chuck, and I think it's a free download.

It's also a good starter for The Enemy Within, but that's a bit of a commitment if you're still making your mind up.

Tribes and Tribulations

No mention of this one but after a rather long wait for a new source book, Cubicle 7 have just published Tribes and Tribulations . A greenskin themed source book with bonus points for a puntastic title. I've not read any of it yet, but the breakdown is as follows: 16 pages on general gobbo backgroun...

Re: Warhammer: The Old World

I've no significant interest in playing or collecting an army, I will be picking up the odd model to paint if the style takes my liking. Certainly if they're a bit less ultra high fantasy AoS style.

I am interested in how it will impact WFRP (if at all) though and I'm definitely expecting retcons.

FYI for anyone else looking at this now: Cubicle 7 are in the process of updating their PDFs and did update quite a few just before the Christmas holiday season.

LOL - no worries. Offer is there at any time you want, or if not, that's fine.

Was not my intention to come off as pushy or anything.

Great stuff. Damage specific injuries do add a bit of flavour.

I can convert these to PDF if you want.

Re: Cubicle 7 screw the WFRP community... again.

I broadly agree with Zisse on this. I've seen Cubicle 7 make the claim that those PDFs wouldn't be in books but at other points say they may consider it. If I buy the book, it will be from a retailer, not Cubicle 7. However, it would be nice if they could work with DriveThruRPG and provide a deal fo...

Re: WFRP 2024 Plans

Not sure what the financial situation was. But FFG acquired the license for WFRP and decided they want to do a new edition (3e) instead of continuing with 2e. The only official announcement I can remember about the end of 3e is that FFG considered the line to be "complete". There was stuf...

Re: Papering over the big crack in Power Behind The Throne [spoilers]

In addition, I can't remember if Gideon discusses this in his unofficial TEW Companion, but it could also be worth a look (well, it is anyway).

I'll post a link later (blocked from where I am (work))

Re: WFRP 2024 Plans

How did the licensing end for 2e and 3e? For 1e I remember that James Wallis gave it back and it wasn't revoked. I have no information to doubt this official version. I was just being a bit facetious as we never get an elf supplement. I'm not sure about 1e, but 2e just stopped making money. On what...

WFRP 2024 Plans

Seems like a while since I last did one of these, but Cubicle 7 have dropped info on their plans for 2024. Dwarf book well into production High Elves (Ulthuan) Chaos books Marienburg So, finally we're going to get an elven supplement. Any odds on GW suddenly deciding to revoke the license?

Re: Typos And The Obsessive Collector

Yes, they're frustratingly bad. I've not read some of the later releases beyond a quick scan as I just can't get on with reading dual column PDFs in eReaders and my printer was down for a while. Power Behind the Throne had a couple of shockers that should never have got through. I think it was a rea...

Glad I didn't print it - in fairness I have learned my lesson.

Looking at the change notes on Twitter...

Numerous minor fixes
Fixed graphical bug with cover art
Updates to spell mechanics
Familiers now receive a fourth Talent option at tier 1
Minor tweaks to College Wizard Careers

Re: Winds of Magic

Only glanced at it. Would have printed it and read it, but my copy of The Horned Rat finally turned up and I've not read the companion for it yet, so that took priority. It looks quite interesting - I wouldn't have minded something that makes casting a bit more resource dependent rather than a pure ...

Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)

Up In Arms was released today, but like me you may not have noticed because Cubicle 7's website is a bit broken right now. As previously mentioned, this is an overview of martial disciplines in the Old World, and slightly beyond (Araby). Here are the contents: UP IN ARMS An introduction to Up in Arm...

Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)

Shot in the dark here: is there any way to get the Developer Updates without buying the Collector's Edition for TEW? I've bought the regular books and companions on Drivethrurpg, but I was too broke to buy the Collector's Edition back when it was up for pre-order. Thanks in advance! I sent you PM, ...
