Re: Warhammer Old World

Hmm thanks guys. The reviews look pretty good. Maybe I'll sell my soul on eBay to raise some cash.

Warhammer Old World

I got an email about the new “Warhammer: The Old World” RPG and was wondering what people’s initial thoughts were. I guess the setting is about 150 years before the WFRP 4e setting. I imagine this is to support the Fantasy Battle side of things which relaunched after the whole Age of Sigmar thing? I...

Re: Zweihander Reforged

I have the first version but haven't ever gotten around to running any campaigns. I'll have to check into this one.

Re: Zweihander Reforged

In what ways has it moved away from WFRP 2E? How is the combat? What is the magic system like?

Re: Frankensteining WFRP2 and 4?

I can see why Fortune Points, Resolve, and Resilience were added and for groups that like them I'm sure they're fantastic. My group just uses Fate Points to avoid death. Advantage is a great idea and was present in a very limited form in WFRP1, but I think it works better as an optional rule and wis...

What a cool resource, love playing around with it and the book title generator. Nice work.

Re: Where the other Gideon reads Warpstone

Thanks for doing this. It's such a time capsule into the 90s, so much nostalgia.

Re: Interview with Dave Allen (WFRP Line Developer for Cubicle 7)

Dave Allen is one of my favorite people in the industry, just an all-around great guy. His thoughts on Power Behind the Throne are close to my own, I've never had the pleasure of running it and am fairly intimidated by all the pieces you need to keep together -- but I imagine it would be a fantastic...

Re: Where the other Gideon reads Warpstone

I have all the Warpstones except the first 4 issues. It’s interesting finally getting a peek at what I’ve been missing for the past few decades.

Re: WFRP 1st Edition reviews

Lichemaster is a secret favorite of mine. I love how it reads but I’ve never had the opportunity to run it in a campaign — I think I’d have to heavily modify it and I don’t know if I’m up for it. But I do love the story, I love the maps, I love the location, I love the undead … great review! Brought...

Re: Foundry vtt or Roll20

The deciding factor for me is how much homebrew mechanics you want to introduce. Foundry is absolutely fantastic, but I was not able to change/introduce as much as I wanted so I ultimately had to let it go. If you want to customize things, you need to know Javascript. Like, really know it. I fiddle...

Re: Interview with Alfred Nunez Jr

Huge fan of Alfred, own a signed copy of Dwarfs: S&S, and love his work (the maps drawn by Andreas Blicher were based on Nunez's work, with his permission). Nice job on the interview, very interesting read.

Re: Foundry vtt or Roll20

I think the wfrp4e module is up to date with the newest version of Foundry. You'll need to purchase the wfrp4e core at least, and I recommend the free Token Action HUD WFRP 4e which allows you to make rolls straight from the canvas heads-up display instead of double clicking on your character sheet ...

Re: Foundry vtt or Roll20

FoundryVTT is a personal favorite of mine, I've backed it on Patreon for years. Moo man has done an amazing job with the WFRP support -- I can't recommend it highly enough. I've run The Enemy Within campaign through Death on the Reik on Foundry. Dice So Nice is an invaluable mod, which allows for 3D...

That sounds like a massive undertaking, Whymme. I'd love to hear your thoughts when you get a chance to put it into action with a group.

Take them through Night of Blood, it’s a great intro to the setting.
