Re: Rules - Shield use

Could use either of those, but the only problem is that those talents don't really align with typical shield using careers and I don't really want to add ambidextorous to lots of careers (which is the best alternative)

Re: Rules - Shield use

So basic shields are largely pointless - you get two armour points and defensive, but you get -20 to defend (effectively giving your opponent +2 damage), so a net of only +1. Sure you get armour to defend against opposition crits, but at the same time you decrease your own chance to crit and increas...

3x Damage - it's enormous not large. And as you say you've played down some of the rules, Deathblow effectively means it gets 3 attacks a turn. I have always liked WFRP for it's gritty realism and deadly combat, but this seems a little too much

It does sound a bit dangerous, especially since most of my PCs are not combat oriented. M...

Re: If looks could kill

I'm not sure that they really thought through the inclusion of two larger monsters in this early campaign, espeically the Basilisk. So far as I can see it the Beast of Ortsclamm has the following rules to consider: Intimidate 75, pg 123 opposed check vs. cool or cause fear Bestial: Will shy away fro...
