Re: Enemy Within Updates (plus other stuff)

My first impressions are that it's pretty great! Lots of skaven (which look tougher and more skillful than the base monsters in the core book), lots of intrigue, lots of options - it's not a linear adventure at all from my quick scan. It also helps tie the previous books into a bigger plot, although...

Re: Where are you starting the PCs in the 4e Enemy Within?

If you're starting from Ubersreik, does that mean that you've completed some of the starter set adventures? If so, Guilty Party, provides a possible means of transitioning from those adventures to TEW. Although I wouldn't say it's concrete, it does leave an extra motive to go to Altdorf and you're ...

Re: New miracles afteer changing career

I've jsut been reading the rules for this and I don't thinkt here is any reason why you couldn't spend your XP on new miracles once you have left the Priest career. You still have the talent so you can still buy them for XP.

Re: Where are you starting the PCs in the 4e Enemy Within?

I actually started my players in Nuln, way to the south. This way I got to run a tiny, action packed "tutorial"-scenario (Oldenhaller Contract) and a lore- heavy sailing trip up the Reik before arriving at the Coach and Horses Inn close to Altdorf. This way I got the players introduced to...

Re: Where are you starting the PCs in the 4e Enemy Within?

Here is the fullest, and probably most definitive answer i've seen to the question: Where is Delbren? : http://lawhammer.blogspot.com/2020/07/delbren-delberz-wtf.html I've read that before and didn't find it that helpful. That said, I've just reread and assuming the PCs are coming from Ubersreik, I...

Re: Where are you starting the PCs in the 4e Enemy Within?

Yeah, fair point.

I have to say, while I think the inside cover book is pretty, I find it very hard to use.

Where are you starting the PCs in the 4e Enemy Within?

So the Empire in Shadows book suggested that the PCs start on the road from Delbren to Altdorf or 'anywhere about two days from Altdorf'. My PCs will likely be starting in Ubersreik which is nowhere near Delbren (not that I exactly know where Delbren is). I assume hand waving the travel until 2 days...

Re: Eye for an Eye 4E conversion

I found (somehow) your Eye for an Eye conversion. I played some 1e and 2e and discounted 3e entirely so was very pleasantly surprised to see how good the adventure was. I ran my little 2 person online group through it and had a great time with it so thanks very much for your hard work. The only issu...

Re: HP Lovecraft

The cat was actually a fairly common name for black cats - the dog in the Dambusters movie has a similar name. HPL was racist beyond the norms of his time but I don't think that's an example of it.
