Re: 4e Meta-Index
Thanks, hope it helps! Not really, I haven't noticed all that many Endeavours in the documents outside the Core book, and document is designed more from a GM perspective. Honestly, I also havent figured out how to use them very well in my own games yet either. But I absolutely could look at putting ...

Re: Arcane Colleges of Altdorf - Help me reconcile
The 'campus' model was the assumption I went with also, seems the neatest and simplest explanation. Thanks @Zisse, I've never read 1e Realm of Sorcery, so hadn't heard of any of those. Now I'm curious to see if any of the others get a reprint like the Middenheim guild. Thankyou all for you answers, ...

Arcane Colleges of Altdorf - Help me reconcile
For as long as I can remember, I have been under the impression that the Arcane Colleges of Altdorf are the only place in the Empire that you can legally learn to use magic. Supported by passages such as... To legally cast magic in the Empire, a Human must follow the Articles of Imperial Magic and b...

4e Meta-Index
I have created a document to help me keep track of the various additional content released by Cubicle 7 for WFRP 4e. This is primarily so that when I am prepping as a GM i can scan through the list and see what Bestiary monsters and magic items are available to put in to play and which new spells an...

Re: Magic Weapons
A meta index! Thanks FTJ, I wasn't even sure what to call it! :) But, yeah transferring it to a google doc is a good idea, I was just reluctant to share it - there are always some dicey subjective decisions regarding classifications on any document like this, but I guess everyone could create their ...

Re: Magic Weapons
In short, there isn't one. But I've been compiling a list of 4e bits and pieces useful to a GM, part of which is a list of all the magic items I have found so far and where they are referenced. That may help find what you are after. Items (Magical) Amulet of Dead Echoes (One Shots of the Reikland pp...

Re: Reviews and opinions of WFRP 4e adventures
I spent a couple of hours the other night trying to say basically what Robin has said, only they said it much better than I! I'd even go further and argue that I don't think the term 'railroad' really has that much value when discussing adventure modules; and also that every scenario ever written ne...

Archaon?
Can't deny his martial prowess, and he looses the odd fireball too.
But I think Loremasters of Hoeth are the better answer!

Re: Combat example
i'm fully expecting the GM book to mostly be fluff about considering the PCs better ad a few tables for random plot seeds. Are we expecting a GM book? Sorry, I don't keep up with the news and wasn't expecting one (1e and 2e didn't i believe, and 3e maybe?) FWIW, My group and I are enjoying 4e with ...

Re: If looks could kill
Small > Average > Large > Enormous. Enormous is two steps larger than average, therefore x2 damage, unless I'm missing something? But yes, did underplay the basilisk. Though the PC's were spread out enough it couldn't engage with more than two at a time anyway, so couldn't have used deathblow for mo...

Re: If looks could kill
I think you're probably right, but with 3x damage (pg341) it could easily kill with a single blow, especially those without a good Dodge (don't forget that characters will suffer -2 SL when defending using melee). 2x damage? (pg 341) Which is still heaps. Regardless, my players took it down no prob...

Re: If looks could kill
Ah, I had missed the melee skill of 45. That makes it much more dangerous!! I wonder if my group will run away from it once they see it chomp one of the brigands in half.

Re: If looks could kill
Halfway through it at the moment - enjoying the opportunity to ham up some Strigany accents! ;) I got a bit caught out by the attack by the Stirpike - I didnt realise at first, but if I'm understanding it properly it can't make normal attacks - it has no 'weapon' trait. Either that or it only adds i...

Re: Starter set
Yeah I have bought it, and at first wasn't too impressed, but having now read through the adventures, I think it is a good kit. I haven't done the maths to check, but I think the pre-gens start at an increased level of experience? If not, I am surprised at the level of some of their skills! Some of ...
